Colbea is a talented designer at our Arvada Showroom. With a decade of experience in the field of interior design, Colbea focuses on three key aspects: aesthetic, functionality, and budget. She believes that a touch of creativity can always find solutions that satisfy the client’s needs.
Originally from Colorado, Colbea grew up in Boulder and has always been passionate about design and creativity. Even as a child, “I remember when I built a house out of wood pallets in the 5th grade for a school project, this ignited my sense of fulfillment.” Her artistic journey began when she moved to Fort Collins at the age of 19 to pursue a degree in architecture. After exploring various creative avenues, Colbea found her calling in interior design and eventually joined JM in March 2023.
According to Colbea, understanding the client is crucial in her line of work. She takes the time to learn about their lifestyle, interests, and preferences, as well as the functional requirements of their space. “Are they adventurous cooks? How much time do they spend in the kitchen? How does the overall aesthetic of the home play into the design of the kitchen? These are things I ask all my clients and how I draw inspiration. I want to create a personal design that is tailored to each homeowner’s unique taste and preferred functionality.”
During her free time, Colbea enjoys engaging in DIY projects around her own home. From reupholstering furniture and refinishing dressers to preparing delicious meals, she finds joy in expressing her creativity at home.
