Project Description

This Broadmoor Bluffs kitchen remodel transformed an outdated layout into a bright, highly functional gathering space designed for everyday living and entertaining. By reimagining the floor plan, the design team created a more open workflow, increased storage, and added a spacious island that now serves as the centerpiece of the home.

Designer Alana Farr of JM Kitchen & Bath Designs – Colorado Springs combined Mantra Spectra cabinetry with Schrock Willet cabinetry to create a custom look that balances clean, timeless design with practical functionality. The kitchen is finished with elegant Colonial White granite countertops, a warm reclaimed brick backsplash, brushed brass hardware, and stainless steel appliances for a classic yet updated aesthetic.

The result is a welcoming kitchen that feels larger, brighter, and built around the way the homeowners live.

Before & After Transformation

One of the biggest improvements was the complete reworking of the kitchen layout. The original design separated key work zones and limited usable space.

To create a more efficient and inviting kitchen, the remodel included:

• Removing the wall oven configuration
• Relocating the refrigerator for improved workflow
• Expanding the island to provide additional workspace and seating
• Increasing countertop preparation space
• Creating a more open sightline to the adjacent living and dining areas

These structural layout improvements dramatically changed how the kitchen functions while maintaining a timeless appearance.

Bright painted cabinetry reflects natural light throughout the space while the warm brick backsplash introduces texture and character.
