Kitchen & Bath Remodeling are Great Investments Now

Homeowners in Colorado that make an investment in a new dream kitchen and/or bath are not only making the lives of their family members more enjoyable, they also are making an investment that increases the value of their homes.  Many homeowners in Denver decide that they want a new kitchen, primary bath, powder room, etc. to increase the enjoyment of their home, to provide a haven to reduce stress, and spend a few moments of the day all to themselves. Colorado homeowners recognize that a new kitchen will bring years of enjoyment to their family, make meal preparation and help make clean up easier and more enjoyable. A well-designed kitchen provides additional space to work from home, home school, or have an enjoyable meal with friends.

Understanding the primary things you use your new kitchen or primary bath for helps professional designers better understand needs, wants, and budgets.  Many homeowners in Denver recognize that the kitchen and primary bath are the two most important rooms in the home.  If homeowners in Denver want to capitalize on the red-hot housing market and obtain maximum value for their homes, updating the kitchen and primary bath makes a lot of sense. If the primary goal of improving the sale value of the home is based on an update, that provides a different paradigm to designers.  Regardless of your reasons for a new kitchen or bath, making the investment will increase the value and enjoyment of your home.

Not surprisingly, the top two rooms that captured the most interest and dollars are kitchens and baths, according to Houzz.com.

Open floor plan custom kitchen remodel by Juli

The open floor plan concept has reinvented the kitchen, making it the epicenter of the home. Today’s kitchens are more personalized, visible, luxurious, and important to buyers. Realtor.com reports that homes with chef’s kitchens – even for families that don’t often cook – sell for more than double the national median sale price of homes without a chef’s kitchen. Chef’s kitchens commonly include a large open layout that allows for in-kitchen entertaining and typically features a large island, high-performing gas range, high-end appliances, refrigerator with freezer, multiple sinks, and dual ovens.
