Hi, I’m Lori Whitlatch, an interior designer with a deep-rooted passion for creating spaces that truly reflect the people who live and work in them. Growing up in Des Moines, Iowa, I was always captivated by pre-HGTV shows like New Yankee Workshop, This Old House, and Hometime. Yet, my journey into interior design has been anything but conventional—I originally took the path of a social worker, missionary, and medical wellness manager. Each chapter has shaped how I see the world and, more importantly, how I approach design. This background has given me a keen eye for assessment and problem-solving, allowing me to understand what my clients truly need and craft solutions that bring together beauty with purpose and function.
Since earning my design degree in 2018, I have worked in remodeling, custom new home construction, and cabinetry planning. While I love all aspects of design, I’ve developed a deep passion for kitchen and bath design. These are the greatest return on investments of a client’s home and are also the sweet spot of where beauty and function come together. I thrive on educating and empowering clients to make the best design decisions for their needs and wants, ensuring in the end that they can feel excited about their new home.
I look forward to collaborating with you on your project!
